The Federal Fair Housing Act protects against discrimination that is aimed at people who rent apartment homes. It's up to communities and team members to uphold the law.
During this series, you will develop a greater understanding of laws that prohibit discrimination in housing, learn which classes are protected from housing discrimination, examine prohibited acts, review potential liability and enforcement for violations, and explore strategies for compliance. You will also learn how to apply the laws to common considerations regarding assistance animals and advertising.
In its entirety, this sequence of courses has been approved by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) and meets the two-hour training time required by the state of Virginia.
